Before Our Very Eyes

“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” – Romans 3:18

Ah, there’s that verse again. The one that I have no problem applying to today’s Emergent church pushers, “evangelical” liberal theologians, best-selling authors who deny the atonement of Christ and get rich on evangelicals and Christian rock fests, and rock star’s families who make a spectacle of a funeral, charging money to get in and hosting a concert to entertain. There are fears of ticket scalping. Lord have mercy on our souls.

They estimate 1 billion viewers of that celebrity’s funeral today. They will make money on it. The casket cost $25,000. Last week the father took the podium to promote his new record label. Shameful. No wonder the media cut that interview short, never to be seen or quoted from again. How embarrassing, even by today’s narcissistic standards.

Had enough? I know I have. But what of eternal things? No fear of God. None to be found. I looked.

About Mary

I have been a believer since 1981. Everything else before that is relatively meaningless. My heart has, from day 1, always been toward the subject of bible prophecy and I have seen the Lord do amazing things in my life through simply studying the Word and applying it to my life. I am a wife, grandmother and work full time in ministry. Life is full, and full of learning curves and seasons.

One Response to Before Our Very Eyes

I saw the headlines on FoxNews about the “circus” er, uhm, funeral and exited as quickly as possible. It is truly a testimony to the “depravity of man” and the downward spiral of those who don’t know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Did you happen to catch Jermaine Jackson’s comments the night his brother died? At the very end he said, “May Allah give you peace forever”.
