This morning I was thinking about all the things that blind humans to the truth. This is just the start of what will likely be a longer list ultimately. I hope to add more as the days go by and they bubble to the surface of my conscious mind. Satan loves to distract us and send delusions that make us think we are interacting with the truth when in reality they offer just enough philosophical mumbo jumbo to make us think we have latched on to some answers but only those that keep us dwelling numbly in our chosen comfort zones. They not only keep us from the knowledge of our sin but they invite us to comfort our pathetic and perishing souls with the notion that we at least believe in something. Whether they are true or not doesn’t seem to matter. Special.
1. Psychology.This humanistic philosophy pretends to offer answers to all of our problems when in fact it is simply making things up as it goes. Psychology is a blatant counterfeit to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. A psychologist cannot truly see into our hearts, only God can. Therefore, a psychologist cannot diagnose our ills. Period. How in the world could a pop science take the place of God’s cleansing power? And yet this is what people, including Christians choose to believe.
Psychology teaches us to blame our problems on others’ actions or a lack of pharmaceuticals in our lives. God says our problems are spiritual and we are to be filled with the Spirit of God, not the latest fad drug. Psychology exists to keep our minds on ourselves all through the day and night; the bible says we are to focus on the finished work of Christ and our home in heaven. Psychology makes us impatient and demanding of life, that we must find answers to everything right now; the process of sanctification in Christ takes a lifetime. Forgiveness comes only by repenting of our sins and trusting Jesus. Christians everywhere are tainted and poisoned by the cult of psychology and think it is a medical science, when the truth is there are no tests for brain issues, you can’t just get a CAT scan and see a brain problem like you can obtain from a genuine disease. No matter, the notion of the reality of disease is negotiable. Reality check: these pseudo-scientist/doctors are just guessing. Christians should run for their lives from anything psychological and see it for what it is – a ruse of the enemy, a vain philosophy of men.
2. Political Correctness. The Fort Hood tragedy is a prime example of this. No one is calling this a home grown terrorist attack in America because no one wants to offend anyone. Is this justice in any way? How will this serve the victims? Political correctness in this or any other area covers for the truth, keeping us from observing, naming, and protecting ourselves from the enemy in our midst. Many will die and suffer because of this cover up of the truth. The reason they give for the shooter’s actions? He was “mentally ill”. So there are lies #1 AND #2 in action here. Question: are our troops who are fighting terrorism all over the globe simply fighting random cases of “mental illness”? The idiocy is confounding.
3. Global Warming. Here we have people who would never claim to believe in anything they cannot see trusting in the “hard facts” of science to guide their every purchase and philosophy. It would never occur to them that GW is a religion but that is exactly what it is, and to put one’s faith in the temperature of the planet which is unmeasurable at any given time is the height of absurdity. The planet does not have a fever but the faith it takes to believe that is way beyond anything the Bible presents. Such foolishness I cannot comprehend.
4. Evolution. Another in a growing list of things that take such great faith that one has to wonder how anyone can claim it is not a religion. The enemy is truly working overtime to convince humans that there is no God, He has no claims on our lives, and that there was nothing then it blew up. Of course, if you ask today’s savvy consumer if someone created their iPod, their PC, or their hybrid auto, they will look at you and say, ‘of course’. But something as complex as the universe, not so much. Today’s fleshly natured souls are so distracted by what they can see that they completely discount what they can’t. Unless it is Lie #3.

We rarely stop and consider that everything outside of Christ is idol worship, but the light of understanding allows us to see that that is exactly what it is.
Satan is running a very successful campaign here on planet earth. His marketing is so good that the church is copying it, and marketing is all about deception. We do hate for our sweet little lies to be “lit up.”

Yep, Satan has us running in circles. But once we see that the Emperor has no clothes it is easier to discern other things.
What is really frightening to me are those verses that say “and God gave them over…” if God can just after a time allow us to believe our chosen doctrine as though it were truth itself, then He also, I believe, will alternately grant us ever growing discernment to see the lies because we hunger after righteousness. He is so faithful.
Perhaps that explains why some people will never be teachable, they have chosen not to be.

A great purging takes place with the “day of the Lord” just before the 2nd coming of Christ. The earth (and heavens around earth) are purged when the fire of God’s wrath burns up the worldly “elements” of every deceiving principle contrary to the Word of God and God as sole preeminence in and above all things. Psychology, Political Correctness, Global Warming, & Evolution etc will cease to exist! Satan and all the “stars” of Satan’s kingdom fall (for a thousand years).

Good start Mary, but these are all tools of the enemy and even though we (and you) are correct in identifying them and you have done an excellent job in doing so; what will we do to get it right? I can rail against the evils mentioned here and join the chorus of comments in agreement here and I do believe that the end times are here. We can lament the fact that things aren’t what they used to be or that better times were in the past for the gospel, but what does Ecclesiastes 7:10 say? “Do not say, Why is is that the former days were better than these? For it is not from wisdom that you ask about this.”
I shudder to think what my children will have to face. I commend you for pointing out the lies and stating truth. Good. We’ve identified the problem. Now, what will we do to get it right? If you want God’s idea of psychology, read Proverbs if you really want to know what people are like. As far as “political correctness” goes, the people who believe in that may as well just say “I have no backbone or conviction.” It’s funny that the PC people make fun of us for being sheep but what are they? Lemmings running off the cliff together. The comfort for us and the tragedy for them is that God only corrects His own children (Psalm 23 Rod and Staff; one is correction, the other is protection), the rest he will give up and give over should they strive with Him too far. Global warming, heh, you haven’t seen anything yet. Wait until later when the church is raptured out of here and see what kind of heat comes out of that in Revelation 16:8-9;and that is only a prelude of what waits for those whose names are written on the earth instead of the Lamb’s Book of Life. Evolution? Again laughable as both Amos 1 and 2 and Romans 1 and 2 have stated concerning God’s judgment and what people can know regarding judgment. May God have mercy on all of us to keep our loved ones in prayer and pray for the lost both Jew and Gentile so more can be added to the Kingdom for the glory of Yahweh and Yeshua His Messiah!
With all due respect, i totally disagree. Yes, satan comes to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly!
God uses ALL things including psychologists. There are christian psychologists. God uses meds to heal the mind as well……..His ways are Higher than ours. Amen?
If it wasn’t for those meds, half of the mentally ill/unstable would be on drugs, jail, or dead so praise God for them. I work w/psych. patients. Yes, it’s spiritual too but also chemical imbalance. I would never tell anyone to stop those meds unless it was a CLEAR word from the Lord…..

Anastasia, I agree if there was a true biological chemical imbalance that could be detected by neurophysiology or psychiatry or some other valid empirical science: treat it by all means. If there was a definite physical problem that can be treated with medication, do so. With all due respect, I do not believe psychology is a science. There is no quantitative data to support it. It was invented by atheistic humanists like Freud and borderline occultic with Jung. What did these atheists know that Jesus, Paul etc. did not? Psychology is most definitely not Christian. When James Dobson (a big pusher of “Christian” psychology) has to warn that there are elements to be wary of regarding psychology; what does that say about it? The big reason it’s a danger is because a little leaven leavens the whole lump. If there is any good in it, that good is only camouflage for the lie. Dave Hunt and T.A. McMahon as well as Martin and Dierdre Bobgan have written excellent material regarding psychology; not to be confused with other legitimate sciences. I hope I have defined my terms correctly.

This couple, Ryan and Lisa Bazler, had solid careers in the field and then got saved, and how the Lord opened their eyes to the falsehoods that Christians have embraced hook line and sinker is a great story. They really do exalt Christ in their ministry. They also have a book called Psychology Debunked. Let’s not let any sacred cows in Christendom go unchallenged in these last days. Seek truth in all things!
Truth is, in the USA, all our police departments are now servants of not just some laws (certainly not all our laws) but of Psychology. All new hires (and most old hires) have to pass a Psychological test just to get hired. If they offend or break laws themselves, they must undergo “therapy” which is indoctrination at best. It is the biblc of Psychology, their diagnostic manuel which began with some 45 pages, now in it’s 5 or 6th edition, growing every day, that by democratic vote removed the “mental illness” of homosexuality from it’s list. Mental illnesses are their term for “sin” and since they can’t cure any of them, reduce the Mentally Ill aka sinner to lifetimes of servitude to their clergy, the therapist, Psychologist, Psychiatrist. Like the Catholic Church during the Spanish Inquisition, it has infiltrated our courts to the point that judges just defer to Psychologists and it’s minions instead of our laws. They’be been doing it for decades now and where ARE the people standing up for the victims? US Christianity doesn’t hear the testimonies of those who are abused for the sake of Christ by Psychological professionals and their servants our police and courts. This IS reality, has been for decades here, and now we debate if Psychology is even wrong? Dave Hunt and McMahon accurately proclaimed quite a while ago, Psychology just might be Satan’s best scheme yet. The Church in America has a lot to repent of. First is just let our government slander whomever spoke out into “mental illness” then let it force people to divorce without a whimper. Blindness abounds.
