To Pray and Not to Faint

Greetings in the Lord, all those who anxiously await His return.

I realize it has been some time since I posted, and I am chastising myself for that. My computer has not indicated to me that there are any comments pending, and it turns out that was not true. I’m not sure why I was not notified via email about some great commments, and so I am bummed about that. Your comments are such an encouragement to me, someone in fulltime ministry and subject to GREAT warfare, that there are people out there watching and waiting. I truly love and need you all. Discouragement is a real threat to anyone who is committed to staying the course and pointing out error in these last days.

It’s been a busy summer, and I have had my share of trials and tribulations. It would be so easy to just get discouraged, weary in well doing, and utterly fed up with the state of this polluted world. But that would be in the form of temptation, and not based on God’s Word. He tells us to take no thought for tomorrow for sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. He tells us to take every thought captive. He tells us to pray and not to faint. His timing is so perfect, we happen to be in Philippians at Calvary Chapel right now, and what an encouragement. So needed. So, the battle continues on, as we choose yo either take the easy way of the flesh and fret and squirm and complain, or have joy and peace in the process. What will you choose this day?

The Russia/Georgian headlines are significant, as Israel has played a big role in arming the Georgians to fight Russia. The Kremlin is none to happy about that. Also, the BTC pipeline that runs from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean through Turkey is part of this story. The US wants to use Georgia to help get this oil to Europe so they are not so dependent on Russia for their energy needs; Israel also has a vested interest in getting this oil to the Far East. So of course, there is more going on behind the scenes than we can know. Hal Lindsey has a great World Net Daily article today called, “Oh My Gog” (love that title) about the significance of the latest moves by the Russian bear. Of course, some are saying this story has nothing to do with prophecy, which makes me wonder if they are just trying to 1)be a discouragement or 2) be high-minded spiritually and so come off as knowing more than the rest of us ‘rapture watchers’. Some folks just don’t seem to want to be actively watching and waiting for His return for whatever reason, I have no clue. They don’t seem to want to find or give comfort with the promise of His coming, but to scoff. There is nothing spiritual about that.

So, blessings on you all, hope you can make our Prophecy Conference only 2 weeks away. Check out the website at www.ccappleton.org for a flyer, schedule, etc. It surely will be great, if the warfare is any indication!

Please pray for those who labor among us, who preach like real men and don’t compromise; I promise you on any given day they may be getting the stuffing kicked out of them by the enemy. And since there aren’t a lot of them left, it’s easier for Satan to keep track of them!

About Mary

I have been a believer since 1981. Everything else before that is relatively meaningless. My heart has, from day 1, always been toward the subject of bible prophecy and I have seen the Lord do amazing things in my life through simply studying the Word and applying it to my life. I am a wife, grandmother and work full time in ministry. Life is full, and full of learning curves and seasons.
